Witness Statement: Amy Temple

Working for Daniels can be a real bitch sometimes. Guy is driven. For the rest of us this gig is a nine to five with the chance for overtime around the summer when things get hectic. For him it's this big mission, like a life's work or something. The only time I see him leave the office is when he's working over a lead, or a perp. Perp? God, now I sound like one of those tv detectives. Sorry, being recorded like this has got me a little nervous. But yeah, you get called in there and you'll see his wardrobe, and a camp bed for the nights when he's too busy to go home. No-one's got a clue what got him this way, nobody can get close enough to find out. You don't see him drunk, you don't see him out of a suit. Hell, you don't even see the guy smile for christ's sake. Don't get me wrong, he holds this unit together and when we're onto something big it's an inspiration to see that kind of fire around here. It's just, you need a life outside of here, this shit gets all too much and the things you deal with are so fucking weird. I don't know how he deals with it, and between you and me, I don't care. I just want to ride this gig out until I get too old, they throw me one of our patented "Fuck Off" parties, and I can spend the rest of my life drinking these memories away with my big government pension.

Witness Statement: Kwik

There'll always be a place for me in society. Where there are rules, there's people desperate to break 'em. I see myself as a facilitator, supply and demand, makes the world go round. It's not about the product, it's never really been about the drugs. It's the rush, the exhilaration that comes when you put yourself above the law. Our magickal king? He don't bother his regal head none over guys like me. He gets his throne, his power, and I get mine. No, Daniels is the one who gets all riled up when my name crosses his desk. See, someone put the idea into his head that this product I provide got a touch of magick to it. Now, I'm not about to say whether it do or it don't, but people still get that rush, ya know, and no magick's the big golden one from all the way up high. Gets 'em all excited. S'good for business, and in this town I am the business.

Go ahead, take a sample wit' you, break a rule. Maybe you tell your friends about Kwik here. Heh, s'good for business.
